Phase 1: The Digestive Primer (0 Minutes)

A small, high-fat protein paired with live probiotics to alert your pancreas and prepare your stomach lining.

Ingredients

  • 1 duck leg quarter (skin on)

  • ½ cup raw, unpasteurized sauerkraut

  • ¼ tsp coarse sea salt

  • ¼ tsp freshly cracked black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F).

  2. Prick the duck skin lightly with a knife and season both sides generously with sea salt and black pepper.

  3. Place the duck skin-side down in a cold, oven-safe skillet. Turn the heat to medium to slowly render the fat for 5–8 minutes until golden.

  4. Flip the duck leg and transfer the skillet to the oven. Bake for 30–35 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 74°C (165°F) and the meat is tender.

  5. Serve immediately alongside a side of cold sauerkraut. Eat mindfully.

Phase 2: The Lean Protein Surge (+40 Minutes)

A massive dose of highly digestible, ultra-lean sea protein to flood your muscles with amino acids while your metabolism is at its peak.

Ingredients

  • 400g calamari (tubes and tentacles, cleaned and cut into rings)

  • ½ bell pepper (any color), diced

  • ½ medium onion, diced

  • 1 tsp olive oil

  • Pinch of sea salt and white pepper

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a deep pot over medium-low heat. Add the diced onion and bell pepper, sweating them for 3–5 minutes until soft.

  2. Add the calamari rings and tentacles to the pot. Season with a pinch of sea salt and white pepper.

  3. Cover the pot with a tight-fitting lid, turn the heat to its lowest setting, and let the calamari stew in its own juices for 25–30 minutes until exceptionally tender.

Phase 3: The Micronutrient & Gut Lock (+1 Hour 40 Minutes)

A finishing combination of complete bioavailable fats and resistant starch to feed your microbiome and safely anchor your blood sugar.

Ingredients

  • 6 large eggs (soy-free/pasture-raised)

  • 1 medium green banana (slightly firm, minimal yellowing), sliced

  • 1 tsp duck fat (reserved from Phase 1)

  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Whisk the eggs in a bowl with a pinch of salt until completely uniform.

  2. Melt the reserved duck fat in a non-stick skillet over medium-low heat. Add the sliced green banana and pan-fry for 1–2 minutes per side until lightly golden but firm.

  3. Pour the whisked eggs directly over the banana slices.

  4. Using a spatula, gently move the eggs across the pan for 2–3 minutes until they form soft, delicate curds. Remove from heat while still slightly glossy.

Physiological Effect on the Body

[24-Hour Fast] ➔ [Phase 1: Prime Gut] ➔ [Phase 2: Muscle Repair] ➔ [Phase 3: Microbe Fuel]
(Autophagy) (Enzymes Awake) (121g Clean Protein) (Resistant Starch)

1. During the Fast (The Prep)

The 12-hour herbal brew (ginger, clove, rosemary) suppresses systemic inflammation while the black coffee drives lipolysis (fat burning). Slipping into a parasympathetic state via meditation right before eating lowers cortisol, shifting your body from a "stressed survival" state to an optimal "rest and digest" state.

2. Phase 1 Impact (The Wake-Up)

The fermented sauerkraut delivers live probiotics to a completely clear digestive tract, ensuring maximum colonization of beneficial bacteria. The rich fats from the duck leg stimulate the gallbladder to release bile and prompt the pancreas to produce proteases (protein-digesting enzymes) without spiking insulin.

3. Phase 2 Impact (Muscle Preservation)

With your digestive enzymes fully active, the 400g of tender calamari floods your bloodstream with roughly 60g of highly bioavailable amino acids. Because your body has been depleted of amino acids for 24 hours, muscle protein synthesis is heavily elevated, instantly utilizing this fuel to repair lean tissue.

4. Phase 3 Impact (The Microbiome Lock)

The 6 eggs ensure healthy hormone production via clean cholesterol. Crucially, the green banana provides resistant starch. Because it resists standard digestion, it bypasses the small intestine entirely and lands in the large intestine, where your gut microbes ferment it into Short-Chain Fatty Acids (SCFAs) like butyrate. This heals the gut lining, stabilizes energy for hours, and prevents any late-day insulin crashes.
